Got to say something about this set of Qipaos/dresses. These are actually inspired by a school’s uniform – St. Margaret’s Primary School. This clever mummy, Faith, sews for her kids and she made these for the school’s Chinese New Year celebrations. These are the variations she created over the past 3 years. It was such a coincidence because we found out that our girls were actually classmates. 🙂 It is especially dear to me too as this is also my alma mater!

Hi
Im so happy to find your blog. Im from Singapore but in japan now. I was at the supermarket and out of impulse i bought the latest Style Book. I was so thrilled when i saw it was featured in your site. I felt some sort of relief.
Anyway i just started sewing completed my first shirt and sheath dress. I really love japanese design and would like to start making something.
Would you recommend 2 english japanese sewing books i can start with. I saw several and afraid to choose.
Thanks so much.
Yany
Hello! I am going to learn how to sew for their Chinese New Year clothes next year. Do you have any tutorial to share for the boy’s blouse. It is really awesome. I could only find the tutorial for cheongsam. Thank you!
I’ve had a lot of queries about the boy’s shirt. I will try to get the tutorial done by this year…. thanks for asking! 🙂
