I was looking for a hat pattern to sew for my kids, and found this very useful site with step by step photographs for instructions 🙂
The site is called Tank Engine and the links to the free patterns are here.
When you click on the page, you will find a list of projects at the bottom of the page. The “how-to-make” instructions and patterns are on different pages. The PDF downloads for the patterns are right next to the project thumbnail on the main pattern page, see below.
Terms of Use : It is ok to sell the finished product at a flea market or auction but NOT OK to sell the pattern itself, or a pattern that is copied or derived from the same pattern.
Please respect the effort and time spent by the author in making the patterns so that we can have access to more free patterns.
Happy Sewing!

I just came across your site and I’m so happy I found it! I am so in love with Japanese sewing books and patterns! I just got back from a trip to Japan where I bought a few patterns and a lot of beautiful fabrics. Can’t wait to check out the rest of your site!
Hi Jillian! I’m heading there soon and can’t wait to load up on book and fabrics too. It’s quite an addiction! 🙂
