Translation Request – She has a mannish style – style 05

November 21, 2013

As mentioned on my book review She has a mannish style earlier this week, I received a translation request for Style 05 – Velour Blouse.

The instructions were made up of 2 pages which I have separated out into 3 different images below.

Step 5 of the how-to-make reminds me of another translation I did  previously – Short Video Tutorial for Pattern A of Feminine Wardrobe.

The process of sewing the front and back armholes has to be done in 2 separate steps, and it is similar to the youtube video I posted on this (since I found it too hard to explain in words).  I hope the video will help in this case too so I’ve added it below. The only difference is that I sew it with the wrong sides out but in the above set of instructions, in Step 4 the garment has been turned right sides out.

That’s all and see you guys next week! I’ve got some links for free Christmas patterns to share!

Thankyou so much for the translation, I am delighted and look forward to attempting it this weekend. You have done a wonderful job, your explanations are very clear. The design is lovely but (for me) the construction is quite complicated, I would never have attempted to make this without your assistance.
